Austin City Limits Returns for Season 48

For Immediate Release - AUSTIN, Texas – September 30, 2022

Austin PBS is proud to announce the arrival of season 48 of Austin City Limits. The new slate of must-see performances from music’s finest begins Saturday, October 1 at 7 p.m. CST on Austin PBS 18.1.

“To say we are excited about this amazing new season of Austin City Limits would be such an understatement,” said Luis Patiño, President and CEO of Austin PBS. “Season 48 brings both established and emerging talent to our screens. We are celebrating artists that rocked the Austin City Limits stage here in downtown Austin for the first time and others that are longtime members of the ACL performance community . You’re going to see a vibrant and diverse lineup across musical genres, ages and languages this season.”

The first half of the new season’s 14-episode broadcast lineup begins with an hour long premiere featuring Grammy Award-winner Brandi Carlile on October 1, followed by Japanese Breakfast/Arlo Parks on October 8, Sylvan Esso/Lucius on October 15, Allison Russell/The Weather Station on October 22, Parker McCollum/Robert Earl Keen on October 29, Lyle Lovett and His Large Band on November 5 and Cimafunk and The Tribe on November 12.

Viewers can also stream episodes the day after broadcast for four weeks. The second half of the season airs in January 2023.

The longest-running music series in television history, Austin City Limits (ACL) offers viewers unparalleled access to featured acts in an intimate setting that provides a platform for artists to deliver inspired, memorable, full-length performances.

Austin City Limits will continue to produce episodes of season 48 through November, with ticket giveaways to attend tapings being promoted throughout October on Austin PBS and Austin City Limits social media channels.
